Clublinks Appointed Operator of Bundoora Park Golf

POSTED ON June 18, 2022 @ 2:19 pm

Darebin Council has extended its partnership with Clublinks, with a two-year management contract awarded for the Bundoora Park Golf Course.

Clublinks was successful in a competitive tender process, with alignment of values, community outcomes and proven expert ability to run successful golf courses throughout Australia, the three key deciding factors.

Clublinks currently operates the newly built Narrandjeri Stadium and from July 1 the Darebin Community Sports Centre, both Darebin Council-owned facilities, along with six other golf courses in NSW, VIC, WA and soon QLD.

Darebin Mayor Cr Lina Messina said she was excited to see what Clublinks could achieve for the local golfing community over the next two years.

“Our vision for Bundoora Park is a more inclusive, sustainable environment that supports our diverse community to be active, healthy and involved.”

“I’m looking forward to the many programs and events ahead that will bring golfers together in Bundoora – both old and new,” Cr Messina said.

ClublinksCEO of Clublinks Anthony Lawrence said that the facility held great potential and is excited by the opportunity to demonstrate innovative programming and community engagement activities targeting diverse groups, with a strong emphasis on increasing health, wellbeing and inclusion outcomes for the local Darebin community.

“The Bundoora Golf Course has been a key feature of the Darebin community for many years, and we are keen to develop the facility’s offering further through activities and events that will attract the golfer and non-golfer alike.

“We are market innovators and pride ourselves on our ability to anticipate the changing wants and needs of the community, and ensuring our sites are inclusive and accessible to all.

“Bundoora Park Golf Course will embody a true community hub, where golf is played. Our focus is on ensuring all members of the community feel connected, regardless of whether they have ever picked up a golf club previously,” Lawrence said.

Public access to the golf course, practice bays, putting greens and food and beverage offerings will continue to be offered.

Clublinks will commence management from 1 July 2022.
