ASIA: PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet announces new strategic partnerships

POSTED ON August 12, 2022 @ 7:08 pm

PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Vietnam’s only PGA of America accredited venue, has become the latest facility to take up membership with the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) and International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).

Providing access to the world’s leading golf tour operators, these partnerships will allow the club to develop key relationships across the industry, showcasing the club to new consumer markets and attracting golfers from all over the world to enjoy its world-class playing experience – all with a view to establishing PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet as one of Asia’s most prominent golfing destinations.

Designed by former World Number One golfer and two-time Major Champion Greg Norman, the club offers two breath-taking championship designs, the PGA Ocean and PGA Garden Courses, each displaying their own distinct features, whilst providing a unique test for golfers of all abilities.

Andrew Bowles, Nova Golf Clubs – Managing Director, said: “As one of the most ambitious new golf developments in the world, we want to develop relationships that strengthen our position and generate awareness of our offer with consumers and the wider industry. Both the AGIF and IAGTO provide a platform for us to achieve this, showcasing our state-of-the-art facilities to the world, all with the goal of welcoming more golfers to experience PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet in the years ahead.”

Formed in 2010, the AGIF’s goal is to help grow golf in Asia by providing its members with educational programmes and research that benefits the turf and club industry across the region, while IAGTO strives to deliver information and create opportunities that help its members develop their business faster with over 600 specialist golf tour operators available in 60 countries.

Part of the wider NovaWorld Phan Thiet development, the golf club sits within a 1,000-hectare oceanside supercity project located 200km east of Ho Chi Minh City. The resort will play a central role in helping the Binh Thuan province welcome its target of 17.5 million visitors, including 2.5 million international travellers, to the region by 2030.
