Royal Sydney recently achieved a major milestone

POSTED ON October 2, 2024 @ 4:11 pm

Royal Sydney recently achieved a major milestone in their Championship Course Project, with 150,000 new native plants and trees now planted in their course landscape.

As part of the celebrations, the Club took part in Planet Ark’s National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day. They were fortunate to be joined by students from some of the local schools, who also enjoyed meeting the Horticulture Team and learning about the native species they were planting.

In the months ahead, another 100,000 plants will be added to the landscape before the course reopens in March 2025. A further 250,000 plants will be added following the reopening next year, taking the total to more than half a million additional flora as part of the Club’s new Championship Course.

It is an exciting time for Royal Sydney and they are looking forward to seeing the biodiversity benefits our new native landscape will provide in the years ahead.
