The Blayney Golf Club is looking forward to cooking up a perfect score with a refurbishment of the club kitchen thanks to support from the NSW Governments Community Building Partnership.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the program aims to support community hubs that provide recreational activities for the whole of the community.
“It was great to visit the Blayney Golf Club and officially announce the success of their application for $10,000 through the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program,” he said.
“The funding will see a much needed upgrade to the club kitchen.
“This is work that the club have wanted to do for some time and are now in a position to complete the works through a partnership with the NSW Government.”
Benefits of the project are far reaching as there will be greater opportunity to promote the facility for functions and to host golfing events which will bring visitors into the Blayney area.
“Right across our Electorate, Community Groups and organisations struggle to find the funds to grow, enhance and maintain these wonderful meeting places. I encourage these groups to consider an application to the program in the next round which will be open mid-year,” said Mr Toole.
