The Brosnan Group, an Australian market leader in golf equipment is on the look out for a talented, dynamic, forward thinking accountant looking for a career move to head its financial accounting team. The role offers a unique combination of hands-on financial accounting, analysis and commercial support.

The role

This is an outstanding opportunity if you want something a little different and to be inspired in your working day. Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified (or part) with solid commercial experience in retail and small to medium sized businesses and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience with Pronto-Xi Dimensions or similar ERP systems and well developed skills with Excel will be highly advantageous.

Reporting to the Group General Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of quarterly financial accounts covering the retail operation in Australia and wholesale business in Australia and NZ
• Yearly Budgeting and cash flow forecasting
• Timely reconciliation of General Ledger accounts for all Group companies
• Oversee daily bank reconciliation process
• The preparation of Statutory Returns including BAS and bank reporting
• Liaise with the external accountant and provide information to assist with the timely preparation of the Statutory Accounts
• Training admin staff and auditing of the retail chain and wholesale inventory etc.
• Management accounting
• Adhoc analysis, reporting and project work.
