Living Choice has been given the green light to build a $160-million retirement village comprising of 219 apartments and extensive leisure facilities at Napper Road, Parkwood on the Gold Coast.

Golf Resort Living

Living Choice has 10 operating retirement communities in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. This will be the company’s 11th village and its first on the Gold Coast.

Positioned as “Golf resort living for the un-retiring”, Living Choice Parkwood will be located within the popular `The Club at Parkwood Village precinct’. The one, two and three-bedroom apartments, located across six buildings, will overlook a lake and the Championship 18-hole Parkwood Golf Course.

The Club at Parkwood Village is already a thriving community hub, offering a wide choice of dining, entertainment, sporting, fitness and medical facilities. It also has a popular Sports Bar, gaming lounge and TAB, Topgolf Swing Suites, an 18-hole mini golf course, wedding and events spaces and a large family space ‘The Backyard’, complete with children’s arcade lounge and jumping castle.

Leisure Centre

The club’s facilities will be just a short walk or buggy ride from the retirement village, offering the best of both worlds for residents – you can socialise at the club, meet up with fellow residents in the village’s own leisure centre, or simply enjoy the abundant green space surrounding you from the comfort of your balcony. An added bonus is that the club is the home of the Gold Coast Titans and the team trains on a sportsfield adjacent to the village. If you’re a rugby league fan, you’ll have the best view of the team in action throughout the rugby league season!

The village’s facilities will also be world-class and include an indoor heated swimming pool, bowls green, tennis court, pickleball courts, auditorium with dance floor, cinema, gymnasium, art & craft studio, library, wellness rooms, outdoor BBQ area, workshop and boardwalk with extensive lawns.

Luke Altschwager, Managing Director of The Club at Parkwood Village, said he was very excited about the partnership with Living Choice. “We have a wonderful property at Parkwood Village and finding the right partner for our retirement village was critical. After 12 months of looking, Living Choice was clearly the best partner for us, with their high standards and sense of community.”

Living Choice’s in-house design, construction, operations, sales and marketing teams will be responsible for rolling out Living Choice Parkwood and it is hoped that a replica of one of the apartments will be ready for viewing in April/May 2021.
