Greenspace Management To Operate Royal Park Golf Course

Active Melbourne is excited to announce that from 1 July 2022, Royal Park Golf Course will be included in the Active Melbourne Recreation Facilities contract.

The Active Melbourne Recreation Facilities contract was awarded to the YMCA of Victoria in partnership with GreenSpace Management and The Huddle following an extensive tender process. YMCA have been a trusted partner of the City of Melbourne for over 20 years. A number of facilities and services across the city are run by The YMCA including Skate Melbourne at Riverslide Skate Park, The Hub @ Docklands, Carlton Baths, Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre and North Melbourne Community Centre.

GreenSpace Management are a bespoke golf management company with over 80 years’ experience in the global golf industry. Active Melbourne will work closely with them to introduce innovative new formats, inclusive programs, as well as honouring the traditional game of golf and club competitions.

“We are delighted to partner with the YMCA, The Huddle and City of Melbourne at Royal Park Golf Course to provide a quintessential Melbourne golfing experience; as well as delivering fun, exciting and modern non-golf activations for all of the community to enjoy,”  said Peter Vlahandreas, Managing Director – GreenSpace Management.

The Huddle was established in 2010 as the community arm of the North Melbourne Football club developed with the Scanlon Foundation and the Australian Multicultural Foundation. The Huddle deliver active youth programming, social inclusion programming, education and employment opportunities for young people the local community.

The YMCA will continue current programs and services while growing services to further support and connect our community. This means programs and services you are already enjoying will continue to be offered at Royal Park Golf Course, and soon there will be more for you to choose from.

Current members of Royal Park Golf Course will be presented multiple options to continue their memberships with the YMCA and GreenSpace and remain part of our Active Melbourne community. Further information about memberships will be released shortly
