JOB: Golf Club Assembly Operator Mizuno – Melbourne

About the role

A permanent full-time opportunity arises for an individual who is interested in the golf industry or assembly operating roles. You will be responsible for assembling standard and custom golf clubs and also carrying out other warehouse-related operations to ensure quality and continuity of the warehouse processes.

Key Tasks:

  • Assist with the assembly of custom golf clubs to customer specifications and work instructions
  • Assist with the assembly of standard golf clubs according to work instructions
  • Conduct Quality control checks on all golf clubs before being placed into packaging and raising any concerns to the Manager, which includes cleaning the products with cleaning chemicals to ensure no finger prints, excess glue and other that may deviate quality
  • Handle operating tools and machinery as necessary
  • Assist the Production Manager in maintaining daily production targets
  • Assist the Production Manager with the raw material stock control, including regular stock counting
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure to maintain Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • In addition to these duties and responsibilities, the job holder may be required to carry out other tasks assigned by your manager

Skills and experience

  • Club assembly experience is not necessary but highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in the warehouse/production environment
  • Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks
  • The ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Previous experience within the warehouse environment and assembly work
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Good computing skill advantageous
  • Ability to work with tools, machinery and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work quickly and methodically
