Headland Golf Club, beautifully positioned in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is seeking a candidate for the role of Golf Operations Manager.
The Club, established in 1955 is known as one of the premier courses on the Sunshine Coast.
The 18-hole is a superb layout, impressively maintained with lush tree-lined fairways along with fast and true greens.
From the clubhouse, members, and visitors enjoy sensational views over Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland extending out to Caloundra.
Membership is currently at its capacity of 1000 members with over 200 on the waitlist.
Recently the Club completed a significant clubhouse renovation vastly improving the kitchen, bar, and dining areas.
Next on the cards is a complete bunker renovation after the Club’s bunkers were effectively destroyed after a severe weather event in 2022.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable candidate to take responsibility for managing the Club’s golf operations and assist General Manager with their responsibilities.
Job Duties and responsibilities include:
- Delivery of high-quality service to members participating in club competitions and major events
- Prepare and execute all timesheets and competitions.
- Manage all social golf bookings.
- Be an integral part of both Men’s and Women’s match committees and their operation.
- Assist with Club marketing and promotions.
- Assist the General Manager in their duties where required and fill in when they are away.
- Assist with new membership, event, and function inquiries.
Key selection criteria:
- A strong understanding of golf is a must, including competition and timesheet management, rules, policies and procedures. In addition, a passion for golf is highly desirable.
- A high level of computer literacy particularly in the Windows environment. Previous experience with MiClub and Poscom would be advantageous.
- Well presented with exceptional communication skills alongside a high level of customer service and the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
- Hold (or apply for) RSA and RSG certificates. No other mandatory educational qualifications are required for this position, however relevant certificates of achievement in related courses are desirable.
- Experience within an office environment and in golf administration would be an advantage.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
