Position Available
Links Hope Island Golf Resort is looking for a full time Membership Sales and Relations Executive. Reporting to the Club Manager the Membership Executive will be the face of golf membership and manage all aspects of the membership program. Links Hope Island is a semi-private golf resort with membership numbers currently exceeding 550. Links Hope Island also plays host to public play, along with staging large corporate golf days, weddings, functions and events. The applicant must have a passion for golf along with experience and knowledge of the workings of a golf club or resort.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Promoting a professional image of Links Hope Island to members, guests and the wider community at all times;
- Providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to exceed member expectation;
- Creates warm welcomes, magic moments and fond farewells for members;
- Responsible for the sale of new memberships;
- Creating new initiatives and promotions to generate leads;
- Acts as liaison between members and staff in order to maintain member satisfaction;
- Maintains excellent relations with members, handles day to day inquiries and responds promptly to any concerns;
- Processing membership renewals;
- Identifying factors leading to member attrition and developing preventative strategies to ensure a high rate of retention is achieved annually;
- Conducting member presentations, activities and attending member events;
- Liaising with reciprocal clubs on behalf of members;
- Completing a weekly sales report;
- Preparing golf membership collateral.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant must possess the following:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or sales coordinator role (hotel or golf club/resort environment is preferred);
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Must possess a passion for golf;
- Previous experience using MiClub and Micropower software systems is an advantage;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Reliable, punctual and impeccable grooming that would be expected in a corporate setting is essential;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Excellent time management, strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure;
- Positive outgoing attitude ready to do what it takes to get the job done.
