The Royal Adelaide Golf Club is South Australia’s premier golf club and is currently ranked in the top 10 golf courses in Australia.
The Club is a seven-day operation that aims to provide first-class member services. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate golf retail and customer service professional to plan, manage, and develop professional shop services.
The Pro Shop Manager reports to the Director of Golf and will be responsible for the retail operations of the golf shop as well as delivering programs that deliver high-level customer service and best-in-class member experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and attributes: –
- A leader with experience in managing, leading, and developing front-line employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong golf and retail knowledge.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The highest-level attention to detail, with the ability to follow set procedures.
- Flexibility, with the ability to work on the weekend.
- A strong knowledge of the rules of golf and interpretation of decisions.
- A comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with mainstream golf management/timesheet management programs including MiClub.
- Hands-on experience with point-of-sale management (Northstar desirable).
- PGA qualification is viewed favourably but is not essential.
