Mark Unwin appointed new AGCSA CEO

POSTED ON September 5, 2017 @ 12:23 pm

The Board of the AGCSA is pleased to announce that Mark Unwin has been appointed as the association’s new chief executive officer.

Mark, who will start his new role on Monday 25 September, comes with an extensive background in senior management positions with Sensis Pty Ltd where he held the positions of group operations manager, state director, operations manager – sales and service and manager – strategy and analysis. Most recently, Mark held the position of general manager of Blitz Publications & Multimedia Group.

The applicants consisted of people from outside the industry from varying backgrounds, with all having held senior management positions. It was an exceptionally difficult final decision, with the final interviewees impressing the panel with their varied expertise. However, it was Mark’s passion for the position and positive ideas on moving the AGCSA forward on behalf of the Board and membership that came to the fore.

The AGCSA Board feels that Mark possesses all the attributes required of a chief executive who will be able to stabilise and strengthen our core business, while also being able to develop strategies that will enable our association to grow going forward.
