New CEO appointed to Sydney’s Newest Club Oak Point Golf Club
Sydney’s newest golf club, Oak Point Golf Club, has arisen from the recent amalgamation of Kogarah and Liverpool Golf Clubs.
The Club Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Taylor as Chief Executive Officer of Oak Point Golf Club, commencing 3 February 2025.
Robin, currently General Manager of Tuncurry Forster Golf Club, will succeed Karen Ford who effectively acted in the CEO role since June 2023.
Robin is an experienced senior executive previoulsy the GM at Pennant Hills Golf Club. He was also General Manager of a division of NRMA Motoring and Services, and Manager Sport and Recreation at Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, which included responsibility for the development of strategies to reinvigorate the Moore Park Golf Complex.
The search for a CEO used the services of Mike Orloff from Golf Recruitment Central.
“They wanted an executive who is member-focused with a proven record of performance and a deep understanding of golf club operations. Robin’s extensive background in planning and management in several different industries along with his relevant golf and business qualifications and experience will equip him well to succeed with the significant project management requirements the Club is facing over the next 3 years.” says Mike.
“Robin is excited by the opportunity and is looking forward to the challenge and working with the Board and his new team, ultimately delivering the Members of Oak Point Golf Club a club that they are proud to belong to, one that they share with their envious guests and appreciative visitors.”
The two clubs will continue to run as two separate venues as ‘Oak Point Golf Club’ until March 2025, when the Kogarah Golf Club venue closes permanently. From there, Liverpool Golf Club will be the only venue and formally become Oak Point Golf Club. (the Kogarah venue has been sold and will be re-developed after closing in March 2025)
Several major upgrades are to be undertaken on the golf course and clubhouse over the next few years.
