NZ: New golf course sections just released in Gibbston Valley Resort

New golf course sections have just been released in Gibbston Valley Resort, a new luxury development close to Queenstown.

There are only 31 sections in total on the golf course with a few already snapped up prior to being released to the public, says agent Hamish Walker, of Harcourts Queenstown.

“We have already had quite a bit of interest in the sections before going public and I expect interest to remain strong,” says Walker.

The golf course

Nestled between the dramatic Kawarau River and Craggy Mountain Range, Gibbston Valley Resort is in the heart of Central Otago wine country. The gated resort will include a new nine-hole golf course designed by New Zealand golf legend Greg Turner; a shopping precinct, called Vintner’s Village; a country club, spa, pool, and wellness centre.

The properties are also within walking distance of a concert site where a summer series of concerts and events will be held, and where residents will be treated as VIP guests.

Greg Hunt, CEO of Gibbston Valley, says: “It is our intent to create a community where friends and families can gather to create memories and share experiences, in a setting that is in harmony with its locale.”

‘The Reserve’

Built on the ecological ethos of green architecture and responsible development, the Gibbston Valley Resort will reflect a sense of relaxed luxury and a sustainable approach to development. This will be evident in all aspects of infrastructure, including building materials, power supplies, and landscaping. Reflecting the natural landscape, the residences will incorporate locally sourced schist and a natural colour palette to complement the rugged landscape.

The new premium sections, known as “The Reserve”, all have a northerly outlook with views of the golf course and the river. They range in size from a generous 1699 sq m to 2803 sq mm, with building platforms between 872 sq m and 914 sq m. Prices start from $1.3m plus GST.
