SEEKING: GOLF Club Manager/Professional – Maleny Golf Club

Maleny Golf Club is seeking to appoint a Club Manager/Professional to grow the Club and provide service to 350 members and thousands of visitors who play the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland course each year.

Maleny Golf Club is located on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland – 30kms west of Caloundra and 90kms north of Brisbane. Situated among green rolling hills with a population around 4000 people, Maleny is a tourist destination offering quality foods, cafes, art galleries, healthy lifestyle and organic produce.

The Maleny Golf Club operates 7 days per week from 7am to 6pm with the busiest days being Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with plenty of scope for additional visitors on those days as well as Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Opened in 2015, the Maleny Golf Club has 12 holes with a vision to complete 18 holes in the coming years. The current Clubhouse/Golf Shop will be extended to include a permanent marquee for community events and golf tournaments in the near future. Maleny Golf Club has run a Legends Pro-Am and other signature golf events with positive community involvement and great success. The Club’s Strategic Plan includes a targeted growth strategy over the next 3-5 years.

Maleny Golf Club welcomes applications from Manager/Pro’s who want to be part of the development of the Club and all aspects of golf operations.

 

 

 

The priority areas of responsibility for the Club Manager/Pro include:

  • Marketing and promotion – increasing visitor rounds, events, social play and competition involvement.
  • Member services – maximizing the daily spend in the Golf Shop, recruiting new members, arranging coaching of individuals and groups, liaising with Greens staff on course conditions and overseeing the full range of service offerings.

 
Four key areas of accountability include – marketing and customer service, golf operations, management and financial.

Remuneration:

Maleny Golf Club is offering a negotiable base salary of $50-$55k plus attractive incentives of up to $20-$25k

Commencement date:

As soon as possible with a view to a six months probation period followed by a long term employment agreement
