This is a great opportunity to apply your dynamic leadership skills, operational excellence and commercial expertise to lead the team at Melbourne’s leading public-access golf complex.

Yarra Bend Golf is situated in the beautiful Yarra Bend Park on the banks of the iconic Yarra River. Located only 4kms from the CBD, it is one of the most accessible public golf courses in Melbourne.

A multimillion dollar investment program in upgrading facilities, services and diversifying activities is now mostly complete. Improvements include an enhanced 18-hole golf course, expanded 34-bay golf driving range, and a new 36-hole adventure mini-golf; all with supporting coaching (a world-class team), golf retail, hospitality and event services.

Yarra Bend is ideally placed for continued growth through delivering a better experience, improving operational performance and leveraging its diverse offering.

You will be actively responsible for all aspects of management and operations at Yarra Bend. Your broad responsibilities and priorities will be:

Providing leadership, supervision, training and support to the service team;
Ensuring the provision and development of all Yarra Bend’s facilities and services – particularly the customer experience, golf course, driving range, adventure mini-golf, coaching, golf (operations and retail), hospitality and events;
Driving Yarra Bend’s revenue opportunities and commercial outcomes;
Efficient and effective management.

Your success will be measured across a range of KPI’s including customer and staff satisfaction, as well as achievement of visitation and financial objectives.

To be successful with this appointment, you will possess the following key performance attributes:

Demonstrated leadership with a focus on delivering quality customer experiences and a high-performing service team;
Experience in the management of multi-faceted hospitality, leisure and/or golf services and facilities;
A high degree of commercial acumen with a track record in achieving sustained revenue growth and improved profitability;
An innovative, entrepreneurial and contemporary approach, including the effective use of technology;
Be highly capable at financial, administration and compliance management.

You will display excellent organisational skills with a willingness and versatility to work collaboratively with Yarra Bend’s investors, representative board, employees and stakeholders.

Also, you will be a friendly, independent and motivated person with strong communication and personal skills that matches Yarra Bend’s progressive approach.

Golf facility operations and/or golf industry experience is desirable. However, if you are currently employed outside the golf Industry, particularly in hospitality or leisure, and possess the other key performance attributes as identified, then you are encouraged to apply.

An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role.
