SEEKING: Golf Course Superintendent – Arundel Hills Country Club
Arundel Hills Country Club (AHCC), is home to a Fred Bolton designed 18 Hole Championship Golf Course, renowned for its picturesque layout, carved out of established native Australian flora and fauna. Featuring a grand Heritage style clubhouse, tranquil lakes, and beautifully manicured gardens and grounds, AHCC plays host to nationally recognised country club facilities.
Centrally located on the Gold Coast just 65km from the Brisbane CBD, AHCC offers a suite of amenities including a well-stocked Golf Shop, driving range, elaborate locker rooms, meeting and functions rooms & an Al Fresco Restaurant & Bar.
Under New Ownership & Management since May 2016, over $400k of immediate capital improvements has been invested into the golf course and club operations, optimising our facility and providing the incumbent with a premium venue to proudly call their own.
The Golf Course Superintendent will take charge of our golf greens resurfacing project grow-in, the renovation and rejuvenation of our course proper and the strategic planning of systems and controls to ensure the long term successful delivery of our golf course product.
The key role responsibilities include, but not be limited to;
- Total quality management of all golf course, driving range and surrounds
- Optimisation and improvement of all related policies, systems and procedures to ensure all-year-around premium product delivery
- Provide periodic reporting to agreed budgets, in-line with the club’s strategic plans
- Attend management and member advisory meetings and action tasks to decided timelines
- Negotiate strongly all supplier and contractor services to the department
- Work collaboratively and communicatively with the General Manager
The successful incumbent would ideally possess the following skills, expertise and industry links;
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior management position(s)
- Be a current member of the Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association (AGCSA)
- Be comfortable managing and motivating teams to achieve multiple objectives
- Understanding of relevant EPA and OHS bi-laws and regulations
An immediate start is available, though not essential.
The remuneration offered will comprise a competitive base salary as commensurate to the incumbent’s experience, a utility work vehicle, company phone and general tools of trade.
