SEEKING: Operations Manager – Maroochy River Golf Club
Maroochy River is the Sunshine Coast’s newest and most exciting golf club.
Though its golf course was opened in only 2015, Maroochy River Golf Club has a long and proud history. As Horton Park Golf Club, it built a wonderful golf course in the heart of Maroochydore, but unfortunately a resumption of our land meant we had to relocate to make way for the new Maroochydore CBD.
Now, with iconic Mt Coolum as a spectacular background, Maroochy River is an all-purpose golf complex, offering a unique links-style course, superb practice facilities, a well-stocked pro shop, a modern clubhouse with outstanding bar and bistro facilities, a function room capable of hosting weddings, conferences and dinners, and – most importantly – friendly staff who make everyone feel welcome.
An exciting opportunity is available to join the club’s senior management team as our Operations Manager. We are seeking a candidate with a mix of the right experience, a passion for golf administration and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager’s responsibility is to manage the day to day aspects of golf and clubhouse related activities. The Operations Manager is an integral member of the senior management team and, as such, is responsible for the delivery of customer service excellence while consistently exceeding member and guest expectations.
A strong understanding of and passion for golf administration is desirable, including competition and timesheet management, and a knowledge of rules, policies and procedures. Experience within an office environment, of food and beverage and marketing is also highly desirable. A high level of computer literacy, particular in the Windows environment, is a requirement. Previous experience with the MiClub and Micropower programs would be advantageous along with exceptional communication skills and a high level of customer service and the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
The successful applicant would be required to hold RSA and RSG Statement of Attainment and Queensland Government Blue Card. No other mandatory educational qualifications are required for this position, however relevant certificates of achievement in related courses are desirable.
The successful applicant would need a sound understanding of financial and payroll systems and be available to work weekends. Flexibility of working days and hours is essential.
