Taylormade Golf selects Golf Warehouse as Partner in exclusive NZ distribution deal

POSTED ON January 17, 2019 @ 5:52 pm

New Zealand’s number one golf retailer, Golf Warehouse are going into partnership with global golf giant TaylorMade Golf. From 1 February 2019, Golf Warehouse will be TaylorMade’s exclusive New Zealand distributor.

TaylorMade Golf Company has established a legacy of breaking from tradition to reach new thresholds of performance. Driven to lead the industry in product innovation, TaylorMade is committed to exploring new frontiers, pushing the limits of product manufacturing, and constantly pursuing the next great breakthrough in golf.

With a history of creating revolutionary products year after year, TaylorMade attracts many of the greatest athletes in all of golf. Led by Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Jason Day, and Tiger Woods, TaylorMade’s elite Tour staff is a force to be reckoned with any time they tee it up on the PGA Tour.

‘We are excited about the future growth possibilities for the brand, and with the pending introduction of the M5/M6 equipment and its enhanced range of TP5 and TP5x golf balls, we can’t wait to get these into golfers’ hands,’ said Golf Warehouse CFO, Ricky Faesen Kloet.

With 11 stores nationwide, three fully automated golf driving ranges and two nine-hole golf courses, the market-leading golf retailer is strengthening its offering significantly via this prestigious partnership. As such, they have invested in cutting-edge fitting systems to help golfers maximise their improvements and enjoyment of the game.

Experiencing the same club-fitting as the world’s top professionals is now a reality as New Zealand golfers will have access to GEARS Golf, the world’s best club-fitting system at the Golf Warehouse superstore in Newton, Auckland.

Ricky Faesen Kloet explains: ‘We have just finished the installation of an exciting, world-first at our Newton superstore. We are the first and only retail company in the world to feature a TaylorMade Gears Performance Fitting Centre. Coupled with our Boom Golf workshop, this gives our customers access to the same professional level of technology and fitting that the major brands use to fit their Tour Players.’

The Gears performance fitting system is a full swing club tracking system used by PGA pros and club manufacturers to measure and analyse every nuance of a swing, in full 3D, from address to follow-through. Built on the same technology used by biomechanists and filmmakers, Gears is the most advanced motion capture solution developed specifically for golf.

NZ golfers will benefit from faster turnaround times and access to the full breadth of TaylorMade’s extensive range of hardware, soft goods and individually customised clubs.

TaylorMade’s products will be an exceptional addition to Golf Warehouse’s already impressive portfolio of world-class golf brands. Golf Warehouse currently distribute products and equipment from these leading-edge brands: XXIO, Cleveland Golf, Srixon, Motocaddy, Stewart Golf, Concourse Golf, LiTech, GWX, GolfBuddy GPS, Precision Pro Rangefinders and Creative Covers.
